Plymouth: The sequel

I’ve returned for another summer in lovely Plymouth. At least for now, it is remarkably lovely. This week the skies have generally been blue and the temperature is holding at a beautiful 65. It makes writing sociology of education papers a little difficult. But, I suppose life could be harder.

Like last year, Heathrow customs was unbelievable, the food is extremely heavy, the ladies working on the campus still say “swee/art” whenever they help us, and the work is daunting.

Unlike last year, the fire marshall hasn’t been by yet and the flight seemed longer.

More to come.
